Greetings!
My name is Mike Thomas - sometimes known as 'The Documentorian'. I had this idea back in 2005 to share stories that perhaps people had never heard. True stories that we didn't learn in school as part of the structured curriculum. So I began the first generation of "America: Book One" as a podcast. After a successful run of one podcast per month, I decided to offer the concept in various forms, finally deciding on the best, most interactive form: an ebook.
America: Book One is more than just a history lesson or trivial facts about America. Yes, the ebook is an informative piece of electronic literature. But it also contains lots of graphic imagery and some interactive multimedia (video & audio) to help motivate, entertain and keep the attention span as well as drive home the information in visual form. In the words of the late great Walt Disney, "make education entertaining and you got something." America: Book One is just that - 35 chapters / stories, plus two special "bonus" stories / chapters - 37 in all). These stories are both educational yet entertaining to all ages.
